    Our Carlisle M6 hotel is in a well-placed spot midway between historic sights such as the medieval Carlisle Castle in the heart of the city, and pretty Penrith, known as the gateway to the Lake District.

    Whether you want to hit the shops, be entertained at The Sands Centre or discover the Museum of Military Life, there's loads to do, while you can nip into the Lakes to see the likes of Grasmere.

    Useful Information

    This hotel does not have a Bar Cafè and is therefore unable to offer a cooked breakfast. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a breakfast to go option. Our new breakfast to go includes breakfast favourites cornflakes, orange juice and a pain au chocolat and now has an added oaty flapjack snack to keep you powered until lunch.

    The hotel is located just off the M6 at Southwaite Services southbound site From M6 Northbound: Continue up the M6 past Junction 41 until you see the signs for Southwaite Services (Moto) Leave the M6 keeping in the LEFT HAND lane of the slip road. Continue over the brow of the slip road and take the first left hand turn down the No Entry road. You will see a small Travelodge sign here to guide you. Continue to the bottom of the road and turn left. Continue for approximately 400 yards before turning left again. This brings you down and under the M6. On coming out from under the bridge turn left again up the service road. At the end of the service road give way to traffic from your right before proceeding across the road into the main car park. Our Travelodge is situated to the rear of the car park. From M6 Southbound: Travel down the M6 and continue past Junction 42 until you see the Southwaite Services (Moto) signpost. (If your Sat Nav tries to take you off at Junction 42 please ignore it on this occasion.)Leave the M6 at the Moto Services exit and follow signs for the car park. This brings you right to our door.

    Free parking is available at this hotel on a first come first served basis.
